Press We7 hits 2 million downloads in record time

2008 is already a record breaking year for We7, the ad-supported music download service, as it smashes the two millionth download barrier and tips over 100,000 registered users this week. Following its $6m funding news earlier in January and a jam-packed Midem, We7 is certainly enjoying the buzz of the new year. CEO Steve Purdham says "This is brilliant, it took us six months to download the first million tracks and only six weeks to download the next million tracks. We're all hugely excited about further growth ahead".
